Founder, Nwaya
My name is Bakeel.
I'm the founder of Nwaya, a Saudi travel company dedicated to creating meaningful journeys that connect visitors with the people, culture, and stories of Saudi Arabia. As an entrepreneur, I believe the best way to discover a destination is through authentic experiences and genuine human connections.
Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I grew up in a family where welcoming visitors and pilgrims was a way of life. Living so close to Makkah and Madinah allowed me to witness people from every corner of the world coming together, each with their own story. That upbringing shaped my passion for hospitality, cultural exchange, and creating experiences that feel personal rather than simply planned.
When I'm not curating journeys, you'll usually find me exploring the outdoors. I've been a certified scuba diver since 2015, and I love discovering Saudi Arabia's incredible natural landscapes, from the vibrant coral reefs of the Red Sea to the mountains of Taif and the breathtaking valleys of AlUla.
Throughout this journey, I'll introduce you to the Saudi Arabia I know and love: its rich history, warm hospitality, remarkable food, hidden gems, and the people who bring each destination to life. My goal is to ensure you leave not only having seen Saudi Arabia, but having truly experienced it.
